Closest airport: Schiphol (AMS)

Directions to the European Climate Foundation Head Office

From the airport to The Hague by train:

The easiest way to reach Den Haag (The Hague) from Schiphol Airport is by train. The train station is located in the main hall of the terminal (Schiphol Plaza). Buy a train ticket either from the yellow vending machine or at the service counters (under the “NS” sign). At the counters you can also purchase multiple use tickets for use on buses and trams throughout the Netherlands (“strippenkaarts”).

Trains leave approximately every 15 minutes and take about 35 minutes. Note that there are two main stations when going to The Hague: Den Haag Centraal (central station, city centre) and Den Haag HS (Holland Spoor). We are located within walking distance of Den Haag Centraal, however we are also a short tram ride from Den Haag HS.

•    Direct trains to Den Haag Centraal depart every hour at .29 and .59.
•    Direct trains to Den Haag HS depart every hour at .12, .15 and .45.

* For further train schedule information, see the Train Planner on the Dutch Railways website (English version available).

From the train station to the office:

From Den Haag Centraal on foot:

We are a ten-minute walk from Den Haag Centraal (see map). After getting off the train continue straight ahead and exit through one of the main entrances. With your back to the station, walk through the ocean of bicycles and cross the street. Cross the tram tracks on your left and continue straight ahead bearing left towards the pedestrian path. You will walk past a canal on your left and green benches to your right. Follow the path until you come to the first big intersection (Korte Voorhout). Here, turn left, crossing the canal as well as a traffic light. Walk straight ahead, alongside a construction site and after about a minute you will pass the Koninklijke Schouwburg (to your left). We are just a few doors down past the ING Bank building at number 4.

From Den Haag Centraal by tram:

Alternatively, take a tram (one stop) to our office. Tram tickets can be bought loose on the tram for €1.60 unless you have a “strippenkaart” in which case simply have the driver stamp two “strippen” for you.

Exit the station to your left. Here you will find the tram platforms. Cross the first tram tracks and walk onto platform 'F' from which you can take any of the tram lines: #16 (towards Wateringen), #17 (towards Statenkwartier) or #10 (towards Statenkwartier – runs during rushhour only). Get off at the first stop: Korte Voorhout. Following the direction of the tram, you cross the street to your left and keep walking straight ahead for about 3 minutes. You will pass the Koninklijke Schouwburg (to your left). We are just a few doors down past the ING Bank building at number 4.

From Den Haag HS train station to the office:

Follow the exit signs which direct you to the tram platforms. From here, you can take the same trams as above, they pass Den Haag Centraal on the way to Korte Voorhout.

International Trains to The Hague:

All international trains to the Hague stop at Den Haag HS. See above for directions to our office from this station.
