The European Climate Foundation is part of a global network of regional philanthropies dedicated to funding the development and implementation of climate and energy policies that lead to significant reductions in carbon emissions. Regional Climate Foundation Partners We work closely with the international ClimateWorks Foundation, the Energy Foundation in the USA, and the China Sustainable Energy Program to ensure that our experts and grantees develop strong policies and campaigns with global ramifications. For more information visit their websites below. The China Sustainable Energy Program Best Practice Network Partners Best Practice Networks (BPNs) bring world-class technology and regulatory experience to decision makers and inform the decision-making process with the latest analysis from top researchers, policy makers and industry experts. The ECF works closely with the European presence of these BPNs. The Buildings' Performance Institute - Europe (BPIE) will be the first point of contact for anyone interested in energy efficiency in European buildings and in promoting the overall energy performance; it will provide rigorous evidence-based information and policy guidance to both policy makers and stakeholders at an EU and member state level. The Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards Program (CLASP) serves as a leading international voice and resource for energy standards and labelling for major appliances and equipment — minimum energy efficiency requirements that can save consumers money, reduce energy demand and slash greenhouse gas emissions. The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT)'s goal is to dramatically improve the environmental performance and efficiency of cars, trucks, buses and transportation systems in order to protect and improve public health, the environment and quality of life. The Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) provides technical and policy assistance to government officials worldwide on energy and environmental issues, including energy efficiency and low-carbon energy supply. It has deep expertise in regulatory and market policies for electric and natural gas systems that promote economic efficiency, protect the environment, assure system reliability and allocate system benefits fairly to all customers. Project Catalyst Project Catalyst is a ClimateWorks initiative that was launched in May 2008 to provide analytical and policy support for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations on a post-Kyoto international climate agreement. Project Catalyst and its working groups provide a forum where key participants in the global discussions can informally interact, conduct analyses, jointly problem solve, and contribute ideas and proposals to the formal UNFCCC process. |
